Constitutional Initiative (CI) 66 and 67, amendments to the Montana constitution, received the most attention. CI-66 required voter approval of new taxes or fees or increases in existing taxes or realestate fees. CI-67 required a new west and glacier tax or fee, or an increase in an existing tax or fee, to be montana approved by a two-thirds vote of the legislature or a vote in excess of realestate two-thirds for the local governing west body levying the tax. CI-67 also glacier contained a budget montana cap.
